The Environmental Managers Committee aims to support the implementation of the strategic objectives of Georgiaโs Environmental Managers Association and to contribute to the development of environmental management and environmental policy. The Committee supports the establishment of environmental management as an independent, recognized and in-demand profession, advocates for the certification process and ensures its effective implementation.
The Committee identifies professional development needs, brings together environmental managers and develops their professional network. It prepares recommendations and documents related to environmental management assessments and best practices. It also identifies challenges in the enforcement of environmental legislation and defines concrete solutions to address them.
In addition, the Committee aims to support the implementation of ISO and other standards in Georgia and prepares reports on its activities for the executive and governing bodies of the Association.
The Committee works closely with other structures of the Association and continuously develops new initiatives to improve environmental management, thereby strengthening professional standards and the quality of environmental practice.
