Sopho Tchitchinadze has extensive professional experience in organizational management and administration. She has held managerial positions in government institutions, international organizations and non-governmental organizations. For many years, she has been engaged in the administration and management of international environmental projects.
Sopho was a Co-Founder and Chair of the Board of Georgiaโs Environmental Outlook (GEO), where she was actively involved for many years in organizational management and project coordination. GEO successfully implemented projects funded by international donors and partners, including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Deutsche Gesellschaft fรผr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), European Union (EU), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), KfW Development Bank, Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF), and other international partners.
Sopho also has extensive experience in managerial positions within the public sector. At the Environmental Information and Education Centre, a Legal Entity under Public Law (LEPL) of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, she headed the Administrative Department and was also actively involved in organizational development and project management.
Prior to this, she worked for several years as an Administrative Officer within the OSCE project โAarhus Centre in Georgiaโ, where she also played an active role in the development and implementation of environmental initiatives.
Sopho Tchitchinadze graduated from the Faculty of Western European Languages and Literature at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. She also holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA).
Within the framework of the NUFFIC international programme, she completed a professional course in the Netherlands on โProject Management and Administration.โ She has also participated in various international professional and development programmes.
