Davit Chankseliani is an Environmental Manager and Lawyer with extensive professional experience in the public and municipal sectors, with particular expertise in waste management and environmental regulation.
He has completed numerous international training courses and professional development programmes in the fields of environmental policy, waste recycling and management, risk assessment and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), including programmes and training conducted in the United States, Sweden, and China.
Throughout his professional career, Davit has held a number of significant positions within the judiciary, local government and municipal services. Since 2015, he has worked at โTbilservice Groupโ LLC as an Environmental Manager. In parallel, he served as Head of the Legal Service and subsequently as Head of the Legal Support and Waste Management Department.
Davit has been actively involved in the development and improvement of Tbilisiโs municipal waste management system. He participated in the development of mechanisms for regulating waste collection tariffs and fees, as well as in the drafting process of Georgiaโs Waste Management Code and the development of other relevant legislative acts.
He received his legal education at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and subsequently obtained an academic degree in Ecology and Environmental Protection. His research focuses on the harmonization of Georgian environmental legislation with international environmental conventions, including the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions.
Davit is the author of several scientific publications addressing waste management legislation and institutional frameworks, as well as the international management of chemicals.
Currently, Davit Chankseliani serves as an Adviser to the Extended Producer Responsibility Association, a non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal entity (NNLE) and is actively engaged in advancing environmental governance, waste management and the improvement of environmental regulatory frameworks.
He is fluent in Georgian, Russian and English.
